Installation vs Registration

I was reading the documents and this is something that confused me o just putting it out there for anyone to understand. In becoming a miner there are multiple sites and the major is setting up equipment. In this the setup is indifferent from registration, codes are given for each but they might get confusing for someone who is just getting started.
